March Hike

We will be hiking on the Appalachian Trail in southern PA.  When we arrive at the trailhead, we will have to hike a short distance in the dark to the first campsite.  This should take only about 10 minutes.  On Saturday, we will hike about 7.5 miles.  Sunday we will have breakfast and hike about 3 miles to the pickup point.  We are camping in tents at designated locations.  There will be pit toilets at the campsites, and there will be water nearby, but that will have to be filtered.  All scouts are expected to carry a share of the group equipment.  You need to consider the weight of everything you bring.  Expect to carry out your own trash as well.  PLEASE NOTE YOU SHOULD PACK YOUR OWN LUNCH FOR SATURDAY
